There is nothing like this word search. The aim is to find only one word and that word is "ANT." This ant is disguised inside of words in a short story. There are about 75 or 110 ants to find in each chapter. The words will be flowing in a left to right pattern as reading. This can be for all ages younger game players can find the simple ant word where as older players can find the longer 10 letter word. This is geared to recognize real words throughout paragraph and sentence instead of viewing random alphabet letters. Here you will be sifting through prefixes and suffixes which is key for younger reader to learn from. Word search is a popular form of entertainment it helps learn specific words in certain subject area. Some words will repeat especially the simple three letter word ant.
You heard of the saying" Peter Piper picked a peck of peppers how many peppers did Peter Piper pick. Now there is "Dominant dormant giant pantry ants eat cantaloupe but dormaint dominated giant fantasic ants can't eat croissants or antelope."
With ant marbles you can have many different colors and sizes of ants. Your imagination can go wild with fun ant characters. It is easy to place them in front of a computer screen then add computer background. By putting ants into video they become a story line. There are many apps for free that allow adding special effect and sound plus sticker or text.
The creation of Pawtwotea was really an accident. It began traveling through New Mexico pointing outside at ridges and washes and entertaining our kids with ant stories. Then the story was written down and the pattern of ant words started to pop out everywhere making it a very different word search. The inspiration thrilled Peggy it was a newer way to help people with reading disorders. In first grade in 1963 Peggy was switched from left hand to right hand. It caused problems in her reading and writing. Words would be missing or endings would be left off. She had trouble tracking words at a faster pace. She learned to read better by taking words apart and seeing other words she recognized. Today she still has some problems with spelling words that sound alike but are spelled differently. Words like Omaha became Obama or alumni became aluminum. Peggy has taught reading during her plan time as a PE teacher. She mixed in art which made it more fun as in the wire ants put into backgrounds and videos. The art made the subject more interesting and memorably.
Peggy has a BSE degree from the University of Arkansas and taught PE and adaptive PE. She is originally from Tucson, Arizona and graduated from Salpointe High School. She taught PE in Blue Springs, Missouri. She tutored reading. In her reading club she had to make the kids laugh, play a game and make art. She explored many avenues. Testing was not the goal she had the students make their own test and answers. Everyone can learn from mistakes and laughing about it. Reading in silly voice was one key to make reading fun. The new technology sharing the marble sculptures stories is tantalizing. See even that word has an ant. The puzzle of finding all the ant words is amusing by any standard and people of all ages love puzzles or word search..

Queen Zant the Horned Toad Killer (1)
Zant
was a fierce warrior. She was a giant ant. She had underground highways under
old dormant volcanoes. Her anthologies told stories of fighting the horny
toads. The lizards stomped ants and dug up their tunnels. They ate ants by the
thousands. The lizards loved to eat ants. Ants were their favorite food.
Millions of ants disappeared down the lizard’s mouth. They even ate the soldier
ants, chomping them up as easily as if they were M & M’s. It was impossible to sting or bite limbs off
the armored reptiles. The armor was thick and harden. The lizard would wait for
servants to come out. He froze as an ant-lion in the sand holes to capture
their victims. One by one the ants would anticipate someone would be missing.
It was like antimatter zapping ants off the planet. Reports went out that ants
were missing. Zant had her spies who went out and never returned. This alarmed
her. She checked her anterior forts to see if they were safe. She looked up
information on the anti-log history. There she read about a dinosaur that loved
to eat ants which roamed the plantation. She checked her antennas to make sure
her communication was in tack before sending thousands of her warriors up top
to chase the monster. The first move would have two different troops she would
be in one. The first troop would throw antifreeze on the monster. The queen was
in second troop she would make sure the monster antibodies were depleted so
that she could kill him easier. Zant’s secret was to strum her super-giant hairy
legs, hypnotize the creature then she would push him off the cliff. She knew
the sound would be scratchy and leaving the creature tremblant in fear. Each
soldier had been instructed to wear antennary. It sounded like a gigantic leap
of faith, but the solider did what the queen said. The queen hid in a coach of
leaves so no ants could see her play her magic tune. The attack started and the
soldiers came out of the tunnels in abundant numbers. The monster approached
quickly from the distant fort. In minutes ants were non-existent. Their arms
fluttered in the wind as insignificant seeds. The trumpets blasted and more
ants came out chanting. “Charge,” they wiggled their antennas but the ear plugs
got in the way! Their circular movements made the lizard chuckle; he knew he
had the ants defeated. The lizard loved the bitter taste of ants. The chase was
on and the horn toad ran and lapped up ants. The screams and horror bellowed
from rank to rank no spears was relevant to hurt the monster thorn armor. The
antennas whistled in the wind still screaming “help me!” The ant ranks moved
left to right as to split. The horn toad was unhesitant to squirt out blood
from its eyes making for a slippery path. The ants could not part into two
groups due to the blood. The blood stuck to their legs as glue. The Navigant
ants could barely see ahead. Ants flew around as grass being mowed.
There was only one ant-bear that made it
to the edge of the canyon. There the queen saw him clinching his antennas to
the nearest tree. The queen brought out her violin bowstring and played her magical
hairs conducting the sweetest anthem. Her magic was the gift of storm of
antacid. Dust kicked up and formed miniature dust devils. Antique skeletons walked about the dust.
Nobody could anticipate her next move. The horn toad froze in fear and the queen
herself walked out from a tall plant of leaves. Constant thunder and lightning
struck over her head as she approached the creature. There with her right arm
she instantly speared the creature then whipped it with her antennas. Down the
plantation canyon it fell spitting out antioxidants. Bang, down at the bottom
the lizard splattered into a giant cannon ball! The queen was triumphant.
After the battle was won the queen told
the guards she killed the Antichrist. It took weeks for the bloody lizard antacid
to be removed. Bodies of the dying soldier ants dragged around the pantry for
days. There was fifty thousands dead ants. Unfortunately, they were disposable
ants to the queen because she could make more. Winning a war was much more
important to her history. The horns blasted when the bodies finally were buried
by the ant-bears. The anthills were covered with the garbage of the dead. After
the burials the queen ordered a fantasy party with wine, croissants and fungus
cake and fairies dust. She even went as far as giving an elegant speech giving
herself honor.
As years rolled on, Queen Zant ruled a hundred years more. She did not
die of battle wounds or war but pure exhaustion of making children. Her tyrant
soul let one ant soldier into her heart. She was a dominant queen. Grant her
companion was quite the opposite he was very romantic. He was kind to children and her.
Grant was the biggest ant. He was an excellent warrior that could take
on twenty ants at a time and leave a pile of skull rubble when he was finished.
Ants from far away valleys did not want to fight Grant. He was not an arrogant ant at all; in fact he
was brilliant consultant. His death was due to a volcano explosion. They kept
his skull on a mantel for attendants to look at for years. His head was
discolored red, and his enormous size was due to irritants poured on him. He
was a gentle giant that came from Atlantis. He made friends with the queen many
years ago as traveling immigrant teenager. His continent had sunk into the sea.
When he was alive the children played and crawled over him and he would give
them antelope rides to their work sites. The queen treasured him above others
he was her constant companion and they made a princess called Rant. One
accountant said he saved 1,500 ants from the lava. He took his last meal of
eggplant in his queen’s arms then died. Queen Zant was said to be broken
hearted and died pregnant a week later after his death.
